The Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Ajmer, functioning under NCERT, has released a contractual recruitment notification for the academic session 2026–27. This is a direct walk-in interview opportunity for eligible candidates seeking teaching positions as PRT, TGT, and PGT. The recruitment will be conducted purely through interview without any written examination.

PGT (Post Graduate Teacher):
Biology, Physics, Commerce, Home Science, Engineering Graphics, Agriculture, Economics, Computer Science, English, Physical Education, and more.
TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher):
Science, Mathematics, Social Science (History, Geography), Hindi, English, Urdu, Gujarati, Art Education, Computer Science, and others.
PRT (Primary Teacher):
Primary-level teaching positions are also available.
Most posts have one vacancy each, while certain TGT posts may have more than one position.
Age Limit
PGT: Maximum 40 years
TGT: Maximum 35 years
PRT: Maximum 30 years
Candidates must ensure they fall within the prescribed age criteria as per the notification. Relaxation, if applicable, should be supported with valid documents.
Salary Structure
The consolidated monthly salary varies by post:
PRT: Approximately ₹21,250 per month
TGT: Around ₹26,000–₹27,500 per month
PGT: Between ₹27,500 to ₹29,200 per month (depending on subject)
These positions are purely contractual for the session 2026–27.
Essential Qualifications
For PGT Posts:
Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
B.Ed. degree recognized as per NCTE norms.
Minimum 50% marks in both academic and professional qualifications.
For TGT Posts:
Bachelor’s degree in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks.
B.Ed. degree (NCTE recognized).
CTET Paper-II qualification is mandatory (conducted by CBSE).
For PRT Posts:
Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks.
Two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) or equivalent qualification.
CTET Paper-I must be qualified.
Special Subjects:
Engineering Graphics requires relevant diploma qualifications.
Physical Education requires a Master’s degree in Physical Education with minimum 50% marks.
Computer Science candidates may apply with B.E./B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc. (CS) as applicable.
Interview Schedule & Process
The walk-in interviews are scheduled from 9 March to 16 March 2026 (date-wise subject schedule as per notification). Candidates must report at least one hour before the interview time for document verification.
